The company was formed to offer an alternative to Local and State Government Water Authorities, Private Sector Land Developers, Private Sector Water Authorities, large Industrial and Commercial organisations and Mining customers in rural and regional settings across Australia, for the delivery of Design, Project Management and Construction Management services in the Water and Wastewater industries.
The founder of the company, David Powell, has over 23 years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry having worked in Local and State Government Water Authorities as well as private sector multinational design consultancies. It was through this long work history that it became evident that the industry lacked smaller Design and Project Management consultancies that were lower cost, more responsive, less risk-averse, and less driven by profit margins whilst still able to handle small to medium-sized multidisciplinary complex projects.
DGP Water was formed to fill this void and we offer tailored solutions to the water and wastewater industry. Our aim is to form long lasting relationships with clients and deliver small to medium sized design and project management solutions to the water and wastewater industry.
We have formed strategic alliances with other similar discipline specific boutique companies to enable DGP Water to deliver larger complex multi-disciplined projects in a seamless manner. This arrangement has been ongoing for a number of years on many projects so it is a tried and tested approach that works. The arrangement is unique in that it allows us to flex rapidly to tackle large projects and contract when workloads are less.
Our company specialises in delivery of projects in the Water and Wastewater Engineering space across all phases of the project development cycle. We assist our customers through a range of services including project identification, planning, options assessment, business case development, conceptual design, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, concept, and detailed design, tendering, procurement and construction management.
